When Nathan Drake and his companions seemed to offer themselves a last last stand on PS5, Naughty Dog revives the hope of fans who are waiting for a new installment in the saga Uncharted.

It's this week that Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is released on Sony's console (and later on PC). The opportunity to rediscover the fourth opus and The Lost Legacy via excellent remasterings. A work of craftsmanship carried out by Naughty Dog… And the Californian studio seems more inclined than ever to the idea of relaunching itself in the universe of the treasure hunter!

The call of adventure

At the launch of Uncharted 4 in 2016, Naughty Dog announced that it was done with the license after ten long years spent in the company of Drake. But during a recent interview with the GamesRadar site, Shaun Escayg (creative director) and Kurt Margenau (director) made it clear that the door was not really closed in the end.

“I think you should never say never […] Uncharted is a franchise that we love, that the studio loves […] It's a universe that we want to see more of. I can definitely say that. »

However, we must be careful since Naughty Dog has, for example, always expressed its love for Jak & Daxter but without ever returning to it. Currently, the studio is working on The Last of Us Part II multiplayer standalone and likely a Director's Cut version as well as a remake of the first installment.
