During the Nintendo Direct that aired a few days ago, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe caused a stir again, nearly five years after its release on Nintendo Switch. A real commercial box, the title will soon welcome new paying circuits in DLC.

A DLC whose players will be able to indirectly enjoy the content without necessarily having to checkout!

Circuits accessible to all?

Marketed at 24,99 euros, the Pass additional circuits offered by Nintendo will welcome its first wave of content from March 18. In total, no less than 48 new circuits from the past will join the very famous racing game until the year 2023. But while this DLC is presented to us as paid, in reality you will not necessarily have need to buy them to be able to enjoy its contents.

Indeed, these new circuits will be accessible to all directly from the multiplayer mode, in world and regional games. A possibility that will however be left to players only from March 22, just a few days after the deployment of the first wave of DLC. You will agree, the multiplayer mode being based on a random rotation of the circuits, you will not be able to select the one of your choice yourself. This is the price of free...

What's more, Nintendo will also leave the possibility of competing on these new circuits locally, as soon as they arrive on March 18, in the friends/opponents mode of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. One condition, however: at least one of the players must have the Pass or a Nintendo Switch Online subscription + Additional Pack. If you want to let off steam on these new circuits without going through the purchase of the DLC, you now know what you have to do.
