In just a week, the rogue-lite crossed with an indie card game Loop hero exceeded 500 sales on Steam.

Published by Devolver Digital and developed by Four Quarters, this independent game is therefore a critical and commercial success, for a game with a theme as mysterious as its concept is addictive. To celebrate the crossing of this important milestone and thank the players, the independent studio has split a message and an in-game reward.

An infinitely addictive vacuum

The world as we knew it has been swallowed up by nothingness. All that remains are a few scattered survivors and an endless loop, surrounded by a void as unfathomable as space. But the character we embody remembers what was once, and reality seems to take back its rights around him.

It will therefore be up to us, as we progress through this loop, to restore a semblance of body to this lost world. Shooting down enemies will allow us to obtain maps that serve as decoration for the loop. These will bring us advantages or points of appearance of enemies, in order to evolve the loop.

At the end of each lap of this loop, we will be able to take refuge with the last known survivors to bring them the accumulated resources, in order to grow the colony and the power of the group.

A concept that is both simple and complex thanks to well-oiled mechanics and combinations of cards that it will be up to us to try, at the risk of our equipment and our lives. And that's where Loop Hero stands out: it's particularly addictive.

500 sales in just one week and bonus cards

So addictive and well thought out that this independent game exceeded the prestigious milestone of 500 sales just a week after its release.

The independent studio has also split a message on the game's Steam page to thank the players who have embarked on this infinite loop.

To celebrate this pivotal passage, the studio commissioned the artist Bard-the-zombie to create a series of Steam trading cards specially dedicated to the event.

However, the independent studio does not intend to rest on its laurels and is currently working to correct and improve the game. Among these improvements, we can mention a save system during expeditions in the loop, or even more options to increase the speed character movement.

Four Quarters is also working on new content like maps, transformations, classes, and music. An infinite loop of changes to come, in short.
