Beyond the quality and quantity of content offered on the Xbox Game Pass, one of the great strengths of Microsoft's service today lies in the diversity of its offer. And with the modernization of PlayStation Plus, Sony also seems to want to extend its catalog of games as much as possible.

AAA productions, independent titles… The experiences offered in the Game Pass do not only differ by their genre, but also by the type of studios from which they come. A path that seems to interest PlayStation, now that the Japanese giant has announced the new version of its PlayStation Plus!

PlayStation Plus: banking on diversity

With the arrival of its new offer scheduled for next June, we already know that Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales or even Returnal will be directly integrated into the service. But the manufacturer does not intend to limit its offer to first-party games. Indeed, if he has already revealed the presence of Mortal Kombat 11, it will also be necessary to count on many partners. In the official PlayStation podcast, Jim Ryan, the head of Sony Interactive Entertainment, spoke about the content coming to PlayStation Plus.

“…I can freely tell you that we have massive publisher participation in this program. We have all the big names present. […] We have big publishers, we have small independent publishers. We have over 200 partners working with us to bring their content to PlayStation Plus, so the lineup is going to be really strong,” he explains.

In recent years, Microsoft's Game Pass has precisely made its mark around the richness of its catalog. And, according to the words of Jim Ryan, the PlayStation Plus will also take this path, leaving room for big blockbusters as well as independent productions.
