The biggest event in the world of the eSport scene will soon be setting up shop in Europe. Indeed, Riot Games has just confirmed that its 2021 world of League of Legends will take place in Iceland.

Last August, we learned with astonishment that the League of Legends World Championships had moved from China to Europe. Riot explained that he made this decision because of the restrictions put in place on travel to fight against the epidemic of Covid-19. A meeting that is both exceptional and intimate

It is therefore Iceland and more precisely the closed sports arena Laugardalshöll, in Reykjavik, which has been chosen to host the 2021 World League of Legends. This same place had already received the Mid-Season Invitational for the month of May. The celebrations will begin on October 5 and end a month later on November 6. Unfortunately, the public will not be invited to the party given the current health context.

As for the program, the first phase of the competition will take place from October 5 to 9. It will be followed by the group stage from October 11 to 18, then by the quarter-finals from October 22 and the semi-finals on October 30. As for the finale, it will air on November 6.
