Six years after the founding of the studio, the Montpellier residents of DigixArt joined the "big house" Koch Media.
Itself acquired by Embracer Group in February 2018, Koch Media has just announced the acquisition of the Spanish studio DigixArt founded in 2015 by Yoan and Anne-Laure Fanise in Montpellier. A purchase that comes just days before the launch of the studio's next title, Road 96.

Road 96 coming August 16
DigixArt made a name for itself a few months after its founding with Lost in Harmony, a musical runner, before signing 11-11 Memories Retold on behalf of Bandai Namco. On the theme of the First World War, the game was released on November 9, 2018, two short days before the centenary of the armistice.
Klemens Kundratitz, co-founder and CEO of Koch Media, says: “DigixArt is a talented studio with an experienced team, which has already earned its reputation with great IPs. By joining Koch Media and Embracer Group, DigixArt has the potential to grow and thus become a major studio in the narrative games sector. We look forward to welcoming them to our team under our Ravenscourt label.”
With just over 20 employees, DigixArt will first take care of completing its next title, a narrative road trip called Road 96, which is scheduled for release on August 16 on PC (via Steam, Epic and GOG) as well as on Nintendo Switch.
Update : If we focus on the acquisition of DigixArt, the operation is larger for Embracer Group, parent company of Koch Media. The group actually offered 7 studios all at once. Thus, alongside DigixArt, Force Field also joins Koch Media. 3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks join Saber Interactive, Easy Trigger and Ghost Ship Games join Coffee Stain, and Crazy Labs sails to DECA Games.
