The initiative was announced last October and it comes into force this Thursday, January 13. Indeed, several Xbox 360 games in the saga Halo are now deprived of their online functionalities.

Among the opus concerned, we find Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo 4, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo Spartan Assault, Halo Reach and Halo Wars. This decision applies to versions running on Xbox 360 but also to those that work via backward compatibility on the latest consoles from the American manufacturer. At the base, 343 Industries had announced the withdrawal of features for December before retracting by opting for this date of January 13.



It's time to turn the page

It should be noted that the games mentioned above remain playable but that the airfoil has been greatly reduced on the connected part. Thus, elements such as matchmaking, file sharing, avatar customization or even challenges have been removed. The table below shows precisely which elements are no longer accessible for each game.

Now, 343 Industries wants to look to the future by focusing on the deployment of new content for Halo Infinite. The latter must still receive the possibility of playing the campaign in cooperation and the Forge mode.
