Expected on May 3, Season 2 of the free-to-play multiplayer d'Halo Infinite will be an opportunity to welcome new game modes.

In a provided blog post, 343 Industries detailed what awaits the Spartans for the future of the legendary FPS franchise.

New (but also old) ways to play war

In addition to a new Battle Pass for multiplayer season 2 scheduled for May 3 on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, 343 Industries has obviously thought of new content, such as game modes.

Three in number, these game modes will notably mark the return of the popular King of the Hill, as well as a similar mode involving several zones and a mode similar to a Battle Royale on a smaller scale.

A great classic of multiplayer games, the King of the Hill mode will require you to capture a neutral zone in order to earn points. Holding it until time expires will award additional points before a new area is designated.

The second mode, called Land Grab, takes more or less the same idea, but this time with three neutral zones to capture. Once the three zones have been claimed by one or the other team, an intermission will take place so that the map is reshuffled with three new zones.

Finally, the Last Spartan Standing mode is somewhat akin to a smaller scale Battle Royale. Each player will therefore fight to claim the Top 1 against eleven other Spartans. Each participant will however be entitled to five lives before being eliminated for good.

Season 2 entitled “Lone Wolves” should therefore start on the wheel hats within two short weeks. In the meantime, rest Spartans!
