While the first weekend of the second technical test for the multiplayer ofHalo Infinite closed yesterday, his files would have been a veritable mine of information.

Dataminers have indeed discovered a host of cosmetic elements, prototype maps and memes of all kinds for the FPS to come on December 8. Most of these finds were compiled on a Reddit thread.

UNSC Data Leak

Given that the multiplayer will be exclusively free-to-play, it's no surprise to learn that 343 Industries will go all out on cosmetics. Whether these are mostly unlocked through Seasonal Battle Passes or whether it is possible to obtain them through a progression system, however, remains a mystery.

Still, thanks to the files from the first part of the second technical test, we were able to get a glimpse of what we should expect for cosmetic content to come. Regulars of previous opuses will not be surprised to find in Halo Infinite elements such as armor effects, deaths, or even emblems. Different models of armor, which will serve as the basis on which we can customize our Spartan, have also been found.

If these findings turn out to be correct, it could be that 343 Industries is leaning heavily on the esports aspect of Halo Infinite. Indeed, in the elements discovered by the dataminers, we find armor paints corresponding to the colors of professional teams. Beyond the cosmetic elements, some map prototypes would also have been discovered, as well as the first visuals of iconic vehicles like the Scorpion, the Banshee and others.

Know your Memes, Spartans

On a lighter tone, the artists of the Californian studio seem to have had fun proposing emblems adapting Halo sauce to well-known Internet memes. There are also slightly more obscure references, such as the one made to The Rock.

Armor and vehicle accessories should also be included, one of which is clearly inspired by Santa's deer. Finally, poses or keychains of weapons and vehicles, many of which still take on a rather offbeat tone, should also be present.

However, we will have to wait, if all goes well, for December 8 on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S to see if all these elements will be found in the final version. It could even be that some will actually appear over the next few seasons of multiplayer, instead of being present as soon as the game is released.
