The multiplayer beta ofHalo Infinite is full of more or less good secrets to know. Indeed, the files of this trial version now seem to point straight in the direction of a hypothetical battle royale mode.

Last week, several Halo Infinite developers urged players to be vigilant as spoilers regarding the game's single-player campaign are currently circulating on the Web. These script elements were unearthed within the multiplayer demo which is currently playable by a handful of lucky ones. The files would have been placed inadvertently by the developers at 343 Industries. But that's not all…

Halo? It's for a battle royale!

Thus, dataminers unearthed an audio file still hidden within the data of the multiplayer beta. We can distinctly hear Jeff Steitzer, the emblematic announcer of the saga, pronounce the term “Battle royale”. Indeed, before each game, Steitzer's voice rings out to announce the mode that has just been launched. So this recording seems to indicate the coming of a battle royale mode in Halo Infinite.


Of course, this does not mean that it will be included as soon as the game is released at the end of the year. 343 Industries may have recorded the announcement in preparation for a future update or to have it on hand if the developers decide to include a battle royale mode due to high community demand.
