Rockstar Games will have taken its time responding to fan criticism of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. The starred firm has just published a press release.

Yes, the GTA Remastered Trilogy did not reach the level of quality that Rockstar hoped for. It is the studio which has just admitted it in an article posted on its site. The company notably presents its apologies while promising better days. Indeed, corrections will quite logically be brought to the compilation very soon.

An almost unexpected return

Via this press release, Rockstar announces that several updates are already planned in order to rectify the many technical imperfections of its trilogy. A first patch will thus be deployed on all media “in the coming days”. But that's not all… Indeed, remember that PC players were deprived of their game for long hours because Rockstar made impromptu changes to this version.

As compensation, the firm declares that the owners of the compilation will be able, until June 30, 2022, to download the so-called “classic” versions of GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas for free on the Rockstar store. Because yes, these editions, however withdrawn from sale to make way for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, will again be offered in the form of a bundle. Good news…
