Nothing goes for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition ! The compilation signed Grove Street Games never ceases to arouse controversy and players do not fail to express their dissatisfaction.

Since its launch on November 11, the remastering of the first three GTAs released on PS2 has had a series of setbacks. The PC version has been withdrawn from sale, the framerate is shameful on Nintendo Switch and more or less important bugs affect all media. The discontent continues to rise among fans of the saga who no longer hesitate to cut shorts for this very wobbly collection.

Historically low ratings for a Rockstar game

On Metacritic, the observation is clear! The average ratings given by users underline the frustration of the owners of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. Thus, the PC version is credited with an average of 0,6/10 on more than 2100 critics. The copy is not more brilliant on the other machines with for example 0,8/10 on PS4, 0,5/10 on Xbox Series X | S or 0,6/10 on Switch.

Users obviously point to the questionable quality of the remasters and even go so far as to draw a parallel with the stormy launch of Cyberpunk 2077. Some also speak (with a certain form of exaggeration) of “the end of Rockstar”. Like what, no studio is safe from a big crash!
