GTA San Andreas: Rockstar does not take care of the VR version

Last week, Facebook gave us a nice surprise by announcing the development of a VR version for the iconic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Today, capital information about this edition has just reached us.

It is the Oculus Quest 2 which has been chosen to host the Rockstar Games game in virtual reality. But, despite this announcement, we ultimately knew little about this iteration. Until now, we didn't even know the name of the studio in charge of development. The situation has just changed, since the GTA Series Videos Twitter account has unearthed this relatively important detail.

A team that has already proven itself

No, Rockstar Games is not in charge of creating GTA San Andreas VR, but rather Video Games Deluxe. This company posted job offers on the social network LinkedIn stating that it was a question of working on "one of the most popular games in the world for VR". According to GTA Series Videos, it might be San Andreas, but the studio still hasn't directly confirmed it.

Anyway, Video Games Deluxe knows Rockstar Games productions well, since we owe them the excellent LA Noire: The VR Case Files released in 2017. This bodes well for GTA San Andreas VR.
