It's a crossover madness looming on the horizon for gamers of Call of Duty. Indeed, two iconic monsters of the cinema should invite themselves very soon in Warzone et Vanguard...
While waiting for the next installment in the saga (which should be Modern Warfare 2), Activision is putting the package on the content of Call of Duty already available. Like Epic Games with Fortnite, the American publisher has chosen to enter into partnerships with other licenses, all with the aim of offering major crossovers to its community. And the next one should make some noise!
The monsters bide their time
This week, a trailer for Season 3 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone (seen above) went live. The video, which introduces the new chapter titled Top Secret Weapons, ends with soldiers opening a hangar. They find a radio there that emits a sound that is difficult to identify. However, Internet users have analyzed the extract in depth and have come to a conclusion… The sound in question is actually a roar of Godzilla.
History to support this hypothesis, note that Activision has also posted on Twitter another audio recording. By passing it through the Audacity software, a player deciphered the message “Monsters are real” (or “Monsters exist” in Spanish). It is therefore not unlikely to imagine that Godzilla, but also King Kong could land soon in Call of Duty.
