If the version 2.4 de Genshin impact brings two new outfits, miHoYo is far from being generous when it comes to the wardrobe of its heroes.
However, the publisher is going to dress up four of its heroines so that they comply with the requirements of the Chinese market.
The outfits of four heroines censored in China
Genshin Impact victim of censorship? A bit stingy with new costumes, miHoYo will offer alternative outfits for four of its heroines. Jean, Mona, Amber and Rosalia will be able to dress in a not so new outfit, since they will be modified versions of their basic outfits. At first glance, there are no major changes, but on closer inspection, it is easy to guess the reason for these modifications.
Less visible skin, less generous shapes, in short, more sober outfits that will soon replace the existing models on the Chinese server. Affected players will receive 1 Prime Gems as compensation. Nevertheless, these new costumes will be optional in the West and will a priori be free, although the studio has not yet confirmed anything.
This redesign has some fans worried about Genshin Impact being censored. Indeed, they fear that the designs of future characters will be affected by this. Will miHoYo be satisfied with offering less extravagant outfits in China, or will it put everyone in the same boat? Response in the coming months.
