A cube story
Following the event, which took place overnight from Sunday to Monday, the game's mothership was destroyed before spreading cubes to the four corners of the Fortnite world. These objects, which were used to power the ship, are able to open Detours. It is a kind of portal to an alternate dimension populated by fearsome creatures. Players have the ability to travel to these areas where building is impossible and gravity is altered. Some places on the map are infected with these anomalies.
Within these Detours, players can now seize new weapons but also fragments to improve them. This brand new arsenal, consisting of the Detours rifle and minigun, can also be picked up as loot. Other tools like the automatic sniper rifle and the harpoon gun are included. Also, group quests are appearing. They can be obtained after talking to an NPC or from a phone booth.

The battle pass also changes
Inevitably, a new battle pass is also making its debut for season 8. It notably allows you to unlock the Poiscaille Cartoon skin. The player can then go in search of jars of color and rainbow ink to color this outfit at will. These items will appear weekly in various locations across the map. A total of eight distinct characters can be obtained through the battle pass. In this list, we find in particular the symbiotic super-villain from Marvel named Carnage.
Thus, the battle pass is available for 950 V-Bucks or through Le Club Fortnite (€11,99/month). Subscribers directly get the current season pass and other benefits like 1000 V-Bucks per month and an exclusive pack.
