Less than a week from the end of Season 1 of Chapter 3, Epic Games has still not communicated on the future of its Battle Royale.
Each season of Fortnite is generally long-awaited, especially because of the scripting of the title, which usually results in a conclusion taking the form of an event to live directly in game. But for the end of season 1 of the Chapter 3, scheduled for this Saturday, March 19, Epic Games faces an important dilemma.
A problematic topic
If you do not necessarily follow the history of Fortnite, know that this season, it is about a "cold war" between two factions: the Dream Institute, which wants to destroy the world, and the Seven, a small group of travelers dimensional ones who want to avoid this at all costs. After multiple threats, war seems to be at the gates of the island.
We know this because the leakers were able to unravel the mysteries of the game's hidden files, revealing the theme of Season 2 of Chapter 3, namely war. A theme planned for a long time, but which had nevertheless not anticipated the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. An unfortunate situation, especially since Tanks would be on the program, as well as new weapons, including homing missiles.
So many elements that are not really welcome at a time when Ukraine is in the midst of war. And even if Fortnite has a cartoonish aspect, this coincidence could cause serious turbulence in the days to come.
Report in sight?
In any case, this is what several content creators and leakers imply, including the famous Hypex, who believes that the lack of communication from Epic Games, or simply of an event dedicated to the time when a confrontation seems inevitable, has something very strange! The troubling conclusion to the season, scheduled for this Saturday, when it usually takes place on a Tuesday or Thursday if there is no event, reinforces this impression.
But Epic Games needs more to admit defeat, and something tells us that the new season should start well this weekend, and that the theme of war will be there…
Customizable tanks, missiles and vehicles
From what we know of this season 2 of Chapter 3, it is that there will therefore be tanks usable on the map, and which will make it easier to destroy brick structures, being used by several players.
In addition, we will be able to further customize certain vehicles. One could in particular install a submachine gun in the back of a pick-up. Among the new weapons, there is the presence of a guided missile launcher, and the return of a machine gun that can be placed on the ground to gain precision.
Finally, on the side of the expected novelties on the map, we expect the disappearance of the Daily Buggle area, since the presence of Spider-Man will be erased from Fortnite, and certain places will be destroyed, such as outposts. Finally, on the collaboration side, we expect Star Wars, Peacemaker, and probably Marvel.
