Waiting for the release of forspoken on PC and PS5, our colleagues at Game Informer had the chance to present an exclusive gameplay video, in 4K.
The opportunity to see the action-RPG published by Square Enix in action and the combative Frey Holland unleash her powers in explosive action sequences that flatter the retina. Notably thanks to the use of the latest technologies such as AMD's promising FSR 2.0.
Unleashing Power
In this long gameplay sequence of about ten minutes, Game Informer has surrounded itself with a few people close to the project to present us more. We thus discover new environments, and especially many phases of action made spectacular thanks to a rain of devastating spells.
Shot on PS5 in 4K, this video shows us the capabilities of Sony's next-generation console to display this graphically shimmering world and special effects that take off the retina cleanly. But also somewhere the framerate, which experiences severe drops when the main character casts very powerful spells.
Notwithstanding the surge of power orchestrated by Frey, we can see how, controller in hand, the game deploys all its salt. In addition to dantesque fights, Forspoken places a certain emphasis on parkour and verticality. The gameplay of the Luminous Productions title is thus particularly promising and exciting on this point!
It remains to be seen if the universe, the scenario and the artistic direction will show themselves to be of such good quality overall. Unfortunately, this will have to wait a little longer. Forspoken was indeed recently pushed back to October 11, 2022.
