Announced last year via a single teaser, the reboot of Fable hasn't been mentioned for over a year. However, it may well be that its release period is ultimately not so far away…
The British studio Playground Games recently launched the excellent Forza Horizon 5. The English company has several teams and one of them is currently working on the next Fable. Unfortunately, we have few concrete elements about this reboot and it is even more difficult to guess when we will have the opportunity to play it… However, the first clues may have just reached us.
A game in development for a long time?
In early November, a new leak via GeForce Now hinted at details about highly anticipated games like our dear Fable. The latter was granted a release period set at the end of 2023. Of course, this information is potentially inaccurate, but another indication could indirectly validate this launch window which is ultimately not so far away.
On Twitter, Tom Gaulton, an engineer working at Playground Games, revealed that he's been working on Fable for four years. So, since the development seems to have started in 2017, we can think that the project has reached a relatively advanced stage of production. An exit fixed for the end of 2023 is therefore not totally unthinkable. But while waiting for an announcement from Xbox, it is essential to remain cautious.
