While the hype surrounding FromSoftware's next production was up a notch this weekend following the little leak from gameplay d'Elden Ring, fan enthusiasm took a hit today with the announcement of the game's one-month postponement.

However, the lucky ones among you will have the opportunity to participate in several test phases on a closed beta during the month of November.

Yes, Elden Ring will not be released on January 21 as announced in its first trailer. FromSoftware has just announced on Twitter that its open-world action-RPG, co-written with George RR Martin, is being pushed back a little over a month and will therefore arrive in our eager hands on February 25, 2022. according to the Japanese studio, "the game's depth and strategic freedom that far exceeded initial expectations".


Obviously, we can only encourage this decision which will make it possible to refine the game as well as possible. But do not lose hope, since the announcement follows a first, no less important.
Starting in November, FromSoftware is hosting several closed test sessions exclusively on consoles. These will take place over four days and will test and improve the functionality of Elden Ring. To participate, simply register on the studio's website and hope to be drawn.



Five sessions are scheduled on the following dates and times:

  • November 12 from 12 p.m. to 15 p.m. local time;
  • November 13 from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m.;
  • November 13 from 20 a.m. to 23 a.m.;
  • November 14 from 12 a.m. to 15 a.m.;
  • November 15 from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m.
