To say that FromSoftware's next game is expected is an understatement. Thus, the slightest scrap of gameplay is scrutinized by the most impatient players. And a new extract has just reached us.
We had to wait until June to finally admire gameplay visuals of Elden Ring. Created in partnership with the author of Game of Thrones in person, this new license will take place in a world called the Underworld. Fearsome creatures will await the player in this totally open environment dotted with mountains, plains and swamps.
An unexpected version
But this weekend, an in-game excerpt escaped Bandai Namco's vigilance to end up on Twitter. The short sequence doesn't show much in its 27 seconds except for a magnificent panorama. However, the interest of the video is elsewhere. Indeed, it would come from the Xbox One version of Elden Ring.
Journalist Jeff Grubb reports the leaker's words, explaining that the images are taken from a build several weeks old. Moreover, given the framerate observed, it is assumed that the game was running on an Xbox One X. Last important point, the capture was made in a rather low resolution. Elden Ring will be released on January 21, 2022.
