Last month, Konami confirmed the switch to free-to-play for its simulation Pro Evolution Soccer (now named eFootball). So, content will be rolled out over the months and the game won't have many modes or even playable teams when it launches.

Expected this fall on consoles and PC, then during the winter on mobile media, eFootball represents a major change for the Konami franchise. Exit the annual opuses and place in a free-to-play whose content will swell as and when. This week, the Japanese publisher has organized a small FAQ on Twitter to answer many questions from Internet users.

More a demo than a full game?

Thus, a player wondered if eFootball will look like a demo when it is released in early fall. Konami's response is surprising since it is totally in line with this question.

“In many ways, yes. We want people to get to grips with eFootball as soon as possible, so we'll be launching the game with a limited number of teams and modes. Further details will be communicated soon.”

It must be said that when it is released, eFootball will only offer nine teams and the possibility of launching matches locally. Starving content that will become denser a little later with the arrival of a team building mode and cross-play for all media.
