On February 4, the franchise Dying Light is about to make its big comeback, after more than seven years of absence, with Dying Light 2 : Stay Human. Without necessarily revolutionizing its formula, this second episode seems to want to push the cursor a little further than its elder, while correcting its small flaws, and today illustrates one of its game mechanics.

The adventure will not be a respite for the protagonist of this new opus, which is why the latter will need to strengthen his arsenal of abilities thanks to the development of two skill trees: one dedicated to parkour, the other in combat.

Foolproof parkour and combat techniques!

After chaotic development and a few delays, Dying Light 2 is on track to release next month. The latter, who has been bombarding us with video footage and other trailers for a few months like during Gamescom 2021, has decided to get to the heart of the matter, whether it's to tell us about his detailed PC configurations or his skills system. .

For just over a minute, Techland offers us a quick overview of the two hero skill trees as well as some of the 48 skills to unlock in total, or 24 for each tree. To progress in each of them, our hero will have to accumulate experience and he will have several ways to achieve this.

As tradition dictates, the player will be rewarded for completing the many quests that punctuate the story of Dying Light 2 with experience. Once spent in one of the two trees, the hero's range of techniques will increase, but the player can also earn them by taking risks.

Indeed, parkour and combat both have an experience gauge that fills up according to the actions of the hero. That is to say, the more you try to perform risky antics or combinations of attacks, the more experience points you will earn to distribute later.
