The long wait is about to end. Rumors have been circulating for several days now, and a launch of Dead Island 2 at the end of the year seems more and more probable.

Last February, insider Tom Henderson brought us encouraging information about the development of Dead Island 2. Announced in 2014 and passed through the hands of several studios before landing at Dambuster Studios, this sequel could be launched at the end of year. New details seem to confirm this hypothesis.

The massacre of zombies will be able to resume

This time, it's Colin Moriarty, a former IGN journalist and now presenter of the Sacred Symbols podcast, who tells us that Dead Island 2 should indeed be presented this summer. The development would even have reached a very advanced stage, since the exit could take place around the start of the school year. Indeed, Moriarty evokes September or October 2022 as the expected period for the launch.

These rumors are rather consistent with recent statements from Embracer Group (the parent company of publisher Deep Silver). The Swedish firm mentioned the fact that Dead Island 2 could be released before the end of the current fiscal year, that is to say before March 31, 2023. We are almost there!
