Following an agreement with Epic Games, the Crysis remastered trilogy will be available exclusively - probably temporarily - on the EGS platform.

A fortnight ago, Crytek distributed Crysis Remastered, a sort of update to the taste of the first opus of its famous franchise. The remaster was then released simultaneously on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It had had a bumpy launch with, for example, features like DLSS arriving with update 2.1 only.

HD textures and new light effects

Today, Crytek is promoting the “sequel”. Indeed, in about ten days, he will publish Crysis Remastered Trilogy which applies the same “fountain of youth” treatment to the entire trilogy. It is therefore logical to take advantage of new high definition textures and additional effects, in particular in lighting. In addition, weapons, environments and characters have been reworked.

Crytek specifies that the whole trilogy will benefit from ray tracing support, but it's a safe bet that it will be the same type of support as on Crysis Remastered: it does not require an RTX graphics card, but it is only a software ray tracing, not really convincing. On the other hand, we can assume that the DLSS will be active when the game is released on October 15th. Finally, note that if it is exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC, Crysis Remastered Trilogy will also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
