Crusader kings iii invites us in longship to join the Nordic lords for its first DLC, accompanied by update 1.3.
The Vikings will therefore be in the spotlight of this first DLC and will launch their raids at the same time as many free additions via a major update on March 16.

Vikings without territory extension
Entitled The Nordic Lords, this very first DLC for Paradox Interactive's gargantuan kingdom management game is not, however, an extension. It does not add any major gameplay element, hence the name “Variety Pack” attached to the teaser.
Instead, we will be treated to new drawings, new 3D models and events. A few new roles and features corresponding to this civilization, such as adventurer kingdoms created by ancient warriors without lords, will also appear.
Who says DLC less imposing than an extension also says lower price. The Nordic Lords Variety Pack is indeed sold at 6,99 euros on Steam, Microsoft Store and Xbox Game Pass against between 14 and 20 euros for an extension in good and due form.

A major update comes with the Vikings
While the prospect of running a Viking land may be enticing in itself, it's not the only thing that will fill the already substantial content of Crusader Kings III on March 16th.
The DLC will indeed be accompanied by the major update 1.3, whose many features have been presented over the past few weeks. We will thus be entitled to modifications of the winter climate and maps, with all the joys that the snow implies in terms of managing a territory and its armies. The "poet" trait will also bring more liveliness to a world that is sometimes a little rustic. Finally, this update will introduce a new duel system, adding many hilarious and catastrophic confrontation situations, depending on the results.
However, this is only the tip of the iceberg, with the major update 1.3 coming to add numerous improvements and bug fixes. This will therefore arrive at the same time as the DLC of the Nordic Lords, but will be free.
