The launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard clearly did not go as planned on the side of Activision-Blizzard. Even worse, this disappointing launch could push the company to review its plans for the future of the license. Since the release, the teams have set themselves a course: to manage to rectify the disappointments related to the release of the game, surely hasty.

This time, the developers don't want to take any risks by skipping the steps, which is why they recently announced that the launches of Season 2 of Vanguard and Warzone, by extension, were going to be postponed.

Back off to better blow up

The last few weeks have been intense for Activision-Blizzard, as the publisher wants to give its maximum to restore the image of Call of Duty. And if the takeover by Microsoft does not help, this small earthquake did not shake the program of the developers of Vanguard and Warzone.

The course that the teams have set is maintained. Better still, the efforts will be multiplied: indeed, more updates to ensure a good follow-up of Vanguard and Warzone will be introduced. The developers are therefore committed to quantity, but not to the detriment of quality. It is for this reason that the launch of season 2 is slightly postponed.

In the press release above, and published on Twitter, we learn that the launch of season 2, initially scheduled for February 2, will finally take place a little less than two weeks later, on February 14. Activision-Blizzard is also taking the time to explain the reasons for this additional delay, mainly caused by the many patches to be implemented.

Determined to climb the slope, the developers should not skimp on the means, in the future, so that Warzone and Vanguard continue to attract the favors of the public because the mountain of work is substantial and the behavior of certain players is not don't help, despite the prowess of Ricochet, the anti-cheat system.
