Gearbox Software is far from having finished providing us with games from the saga Borderlands. So much so that barely a few months after the release of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, a radically different new title is already planned.

In November 2014, Telltale Games offered us its narrative vision of the FPS saga with Tales from the Borderlands. Unfortunately, this very successful first season never got a sequel. Well if we believe the recent statements of Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox Software, during the PAX East, a new game will not be long in coming.

Waiting for a specific announcement

Thus, Gearbox is working internally on an unprecedented adventure for Tales from the Borderlands. The game will follow the epic of characters specially created for the occasion and quite logically will emphasize the narration. So don't expect a nervous shooter à la Borderlands 3, but rather a narrative experience similar to that offered by Telltale almost eight years ago.

In addition, a proper presentation of the game will be made during the summer (potentially during the Summer Game Fest). Finally, the development seems to have reached a very advanced stage then this new Tales from the Borderlands must be launched this year 2022.
