Bloodborne's magnificent PS1 demake finds a release date

No news of a PC version of Bloodborne, we cling as we can. In this case, fans will soon be able to discover on their machines the version unmark PS1 game from From Software!

Called Bloodborne PSX, this version will be available for free and will offer a retro vision of the 1990s of the first section of Bloodborne, enhanced by today's technologies (if the aesthetic appeals to you).

Finally a Bloodborne on PC

After a year of hard work on this Bloodborne PSX, developer Lilith Walther has finally announced the release date for her fan project. See you on January 31, 2022 to (re)discover Yharnam dressed in its most beautiful retro polygons. To celebrate this announcement, the developer has posted a new trailer that shows us the almost final work of its version. The result is amazing as we really have the impression of seeing a PS1 game of the time, but developed with current tools such as the Unreal Engine which easily make it possible to obtain the rendering of a large production. And this, even if working alone on a project.

The game's music has also been arranged in collaboration with The Noble Demon to match the sounds of the (distant) 1990s. In the trailer you can hear the superb rearranged music of the Cleric Beast, and it's worth it weighing peanuts.

Bloodborne PSX arrives as the fashion for recent AAA demakes is in full swing. These games pass through the expert and nostalgic hands of fans who grew up on Sony's first home console and are now old enough to develop games. Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last of Us have already gone under the knife of fans, and publishers have even specialized in the production of PS1 type games such as New Blood Interactive which will have allowed us to have nuggets such as Dusk or Amid Evil.
