Along with the announcement of Portal, the community platform mixing many games from the franchise FPS Battelfield, Electronic Arts has announced the launch of a closed beta for Battlefield 2042 on all platforms in September.

Those pre-ordering any edition of Battlefield 2042 will be entitled to early access to this open beta. It remains to know a precise date for the official opening of said beta and its early access.



Battlefield mayhem before its time

With Battlefield 2042 set to officially release on October 22 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, budding soldiers around the world on all platforms will be able to try out the game for a month. in advance.

Now that we know all the game modes present when the latest DICE title was released, namely All-Out Warfare, Battlefield Hazard Zone and the community platform Battlefield Portal, Electronic Arts was able to announce a release window for the open beta. However, we do not yet know the modes and maps that will be accessible during the event.


If we have to take the example of the old betas of Battlefield games, we bet that that of Battlefield 2042 will be relatively limited, in order to possibly reserve some surprises for the official release. Still, the curious will be able to see what's going on for free in advance, and the most impatient even more by pre-ordering any edition of the game.
