Big revelation of these 2021 Game Awards, Alan wake 2 was illustrated via a carefully staged trailer during the ceremony. This week, some additional information is coming to us.
With this second opus which will feature the famous writer, Remedy Entertainment will sign the first survival-horror in its history. Apart from the video broadcast at the Game Awards, we have not seen anything more about the game. Fortunately, the Finnish studio briefly takes the floor in order to clarify certain aspects.
A return to basics
On Twitter, Sam Lake (Max Payne himself!), the artistic director of the game, communicated a handful of details on this second episode. First of all, he made a point of specifying that Alan Wake 2 will retain a third person point of view. Also, Ilkka Villi will always lend her features to the writer and Matthew Porretta her voice. Fans will therefore not be too disoriented despite the 13 years that will separate the two opuses.
Now, the Remedy teams will fully focus on the development of Alan Wake 2. No further communication will be made before summer 2022. The game is expected on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC during 2023.
