The Master Chief Collection presented itself as the dream compilation for all fans of the saga. Benefiting from a real work of substance and form, especially over time, thanks to the follow-up granted by 343 Industries, this collection then gave a glimpse of the hope of one day seeing this model be transposed to other sagas.
According to Xbox Era's Nick Baker, that day may soon be upon us. According to his information, the Gears of War license should benefit from its own collection, benefiting in passing from a visual facelift comparable to that operated with the Master Chief Collection. As a reminder, this included at launch the single-player campaigns of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4, in addition to integrating the multiplayer modes of the four games.
This potential "Gears of War Collection" should contain the first three installments of the saga, as well as the prequel episode, Gears of War: Judgment. As you will have understood, this compilation would therefore be essentially placed under the sign of good old Marcus Fenix, who had already seen his first adventure be remastered in 2015.
