WhileElden Ring is about to arrive on consoles and PC, the next game from FromSoftware already seems to be pointing the tip of its nose. Exit the saga of Souls and make way for the mechas so appreciated by Japanese players.
In a big month and a half, Elden Ring will finally be available. Long-awaited, this new license imagined by FromSoftware should magnify the Souls-like formula while offering it a fairly new open-world dimension for the genre. But while waiting for the coming of the messiah, we will rather discuss a rumor concerning the next game from the Japanese studio.
Make way for giant robots
This is not the first time that this rumor has been heard, but it seems to be verified a little more via information obtained by a Resetera user and relayed by Video Games Chronicle. Indeed, FromSoftware seems to have confirmed the development of a new Armored Core through a survey sent to different players. This project would take place in “a science fiction world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki”. A dynamic action and a high degree of freedom on personalization would be part of it.
The description also refers to a gigantic map, fierce battles and the famous mechas so dear to the saga. An extraterrestrial substance would be at the heart of the story. Screenshots and some game footage would have been shown to respondents. In short, Armored Core should soon return to the front of the stage after a long absence.
