A new Mario Strikers announced for Nintendo Switch

It's official: a new opus of mario strikers just announced on Nintendo Switch. And the good news is that it happens very quickly!

An unexpected return!

Mario returns to tease the ball

After Mario Tennis and Mario Golf, it's the turn of the Mario Strikers series to land on Nintendo's hybrid console. Spiritual sequel to Mario Smash Football, released on GameCube in 2005, and Mario Strikers: Charged Football released on Wii in 2007, it's Mario Strikers: Battle League Football's turn to set foot on the Switch field. The title is expected for June 10, exclusively on the Nintendo machine.

The game will have a Strike mode, featuring five-on-five matches and a primary focus on offense. The objective will be to dribble and make as many passes as possible to your teammates to score goals, including the possibility of tackling opponents and performing special attacks called "Hyper Strikes". To trigger them, the player will have to pick up orbs that will appear during matches and manage to charge it long enough, which will trigger a short cutscene. Note that these strikes will earn two points if the ball reaches the back of the net.

In this opus, the equipment will play an essential role since in addition to being customizable, it will have a direct impact on the gameplay, influencing the character's speed, strength and passing accuracy.

The game will feature local multiplayer for up to eight players simultaneously from the same console. An online mode will also be there and will offer individual matches as well as a Club mode in which the player can try to advance his team to the top of a ranking (20 players maximum). See you on June 10th on the pitch!
