It is an extremely ambitious project which is being prepared by a studio almost unknown to the general public. However, the name of the founder of this company may ring a bell, since he worked for Rockstar Games for a long time.

In April 2015, Leslie Benzies, then president of Rockstar North and producer on successful sagas like GTA and Red Dead Redemption, decided to leave the starred firm before taking it to court. The main interested party then founded a new studio, Royal Circus Games, in 2016. Two years later, the company was renamed Build A Rocket Boy following a letter sent to court by Take-Two Interactive. But it is not this judicial slump that interests us today…

A promise difficult to keep?

At present, the new Benzies studio still hasn't released a single game. It must be said that the Build A Rocket Boy teams are currently at work on a AAA title called Everywhere. And, according to several documents unearthed by analyst Roberto Serrano, an ultra-ambitious project is looming on the horizon. It is indeed referred to as “Ready Player One (the film) in real life”.

Everywhere would offer a huge open world while emphasizing the multiplayer dimension with a so-called "epic" story through several chapters. In this kind of "virtual sandbox", players should be able to create their own worlds with deep social features as a bonus. We'll have to make do with that for now.
