4A Games, the Ukrainian studio behind the excellent video game adaptation of Metro, seems to be preparing to visit other territories and is recruiting for a brand new license.

In any case, this is what can be seen on the page linked to the recruitment of the studio, to the search for personnel for numerous positions of responsibility on which it is clearly specified that it will be a question of working on a new Licence.

After having feasted our eyes with Metro Exodus, more recently thanks to the addition of ray tracing on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as well as DLSS on PC, and the imminent arrival of a standalone multiplayer opus in this prolific license, it seems that 4A Games is about to leave the Russian underground for good.

This is in any case what we can conclude from reading new job descriptions published on the page dedicated to the recruitment of the studio. 4A Games is recruiting for the positions of Senior Game Designer, Technical Designer, Director Game Systems Designer, Senior Technical Artist, Environment Designer Artist and Creature Designer Artist.

If nothing else is specified except that the positions sought will be placed on a new licence, their files may reveal some information. The search for designers of environment and creatures therefore suggests the presence of other characters than humans. If 4A Games intends to take advantage of what it learned about Metro Exodus, we could also expect this future project to take place in another open world.

It remains to be seen if it will be a new post-apocalyptic license or if it will settle in a radically different universe. Either way, we can't wait to hear more about what the talented Ukrainian studio has in store for us.
