Eight years after the first opus, Bigby is ready to return to lead the investigation in The Wolf Among Us 2. The long-awaited sequel was revealed more fully through a long presentation.
On the program: a new trailer, promises of new gameplay, even better choices, and above all an exit window.
New trailer and a 2023 release
The big day is finally here. After long months of waiting, The Wolf Among Us 2 has finally presented itself in good and due form with a brand new trailer that focuses above all on the plot of the first episode of the season. The opportunity to find Bigby, as well as some old and new characters, more beautiful than ever thanks to the switch to the Unreal Engine. Remember that the sequel will take place six months after the events of the first opus, with Bigby farther from Fabletown and Snow White, with whom he has more strained relations. In the shoes of the Big Bad Wolf, players will have to solve a case that is out of the ordinary.
The event also revealed a whole slew of information. The most important: we will have to wait longer than expected since The Wolf Among Us 2 will be available in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The studio is currently working on motion capture, but does not want to give a release date too early for fear of pushing it back and making a few more disappointed.
To avoid repeating the mistakes of the past, all five episodes will be ready before the game launches. The title does not abandon its episodic format, but the chapters will be released at a more regular rate than previous Telltale productions.
