Steam Deck: playing Destiny 2 on the Valve console can lead to a ban

ยฉ Bungie

If you Steam deck is able to launch a large number of games available on the Valve store, others are resisting. This is for example the case of Destiny 2. And players can even find themselves in a bad position if they manage to play Bungie's title.

The Steam Deck may be a good machine, but it can still be improved in several areas. This is particularly the case concerning the incompatibility of certain games. Among this list, an extremely popular production is not supposed to be compatible with Valve's console. This is Destiny 2!

Guardians in danger!

Bungie recently confirmed that the Steam Deck does not support Destiny 2. This is also the case on any system that uses the open-source Proton software unless Windows is installed and running. The American studio specifies that users who launch the free-to-play FPS on the Steam Deck via SteamOS or Proton will be sent directly to their library.

However, if players attempt to override these limitations and manage to launch a game of Destiny 2, Bungie will own banishment outright. It is therefore recommended not to play with fire.
