The world of the Throne of Savathûn will soon open its doors, and with it, that of the next expansion of Bungie's cooperative online game.

An expected expansion
If Destiny 2 is not as popular as other service games like Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone, it is still very popular, especially on PlayStation and Steam. To continue this momentum, Bungie therefore plans to release a new extension called The Witch Queen on February 22.
After celebrating its 30th anniversary through a DLC paying tribute to its previous productions (like Halo), the studio intends to continue the main story, which promises to be rich in twists and turns.
A video that reveals the universe
Postponed to early 2022 due to the constraints linked to the pandemic, the extension is revealed today through a new video, which takes a close look at the throne of Savathûn. This enemy, mentioned many times since the actual launch of the saga, a real sea serpent, will be the main antagonist.
As expected, the throne will be the new destination for players. It is described as "the theater of a fragile balance of terrifying powers", within which it will be necessary to "seek the truth".
Even better: there is a "light brood" within it, members of the Hive who hold the power of Light (which the Guardians also possess). Enough to forge your own weapons and master the Glaive, a new type of weapon.
