It is now official, there will be no FIFA 24 coins ! Electronic Arts and the FIFA have decided to separate for better… or for worse?! However, virtual football fans shouldn't be too out of their element.

The rumor has been circulating for some time, and the American publisher has finally decided to formalize it. After almost 30 long years of football simulations developed in partnership with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (or FIFA for short), Electronic Arts has finally filed for divorce. Notably, there will be a major consequence to this, but it should only have a relatively minimal impact on the gameplay experience.

A new name, and it starts again!

Starting next year, FIFA games will give way to EA SPORTS FC. Farewell to "the little game of FIFA" with friends (even if the name may stay in our mouths for a while). But, apart from this “cosmetic” aspect, nothing will alter the experience of the players. Indeed, EA retains the rights to more than 19 players, 000 teams, 700 stadiums and 100 leagues which will remain available. The Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga or even the Spanish La Liga will therefore not change address.

This will also be the case for the eternal Career, VOLTA Football, Ultimate Team and Clubs Pro modes. Thus, it is FIFA 23 which will have the heavy task of closing this historic partnership at the end of the year with, we hope, an ambitious and complete football simulation.
