Barely a day after being briefly teased, patch 1.3 of cyberpunk 2077 was the subject of a dedicated livestream today on the channel Twitch from CD Projekt RED, as well as three upcoming free DLCs.

Announced as the biggest patch to date by the Polish studio, version 1.3 of its latest Action-RPG should arrive "very soon" in Cyberpunk 2077. The first free DLCs, initially planned for the start of the year, will take the opportunity to make their entry, and will be followed by many more over the coming weeks and months.

Update 18/08:

Presented yesterday during a dedicated livestream, patch 1.3, as well as three first free DLCs, are now downloadable on all platforms available for Cyberpunk 2077.

As a reminder, this patch adds several quality of life type changes, along with the usual bug fixes and performance improvements. It also includes the three DLCs presented yesterday, namely two jackets that belonged to Viktor, a Nomad sports car and an alternate appearance for Johnny Silverhand.

Announced as the most substantial update to date of the game by the Polish studio, this one has not usurped its title: on PC, its download weighs a trifle of 33 GB. A weight which should be similar on consoles and on Google's Cloud Gaming service.

Future free DLCs should continue to flow in over the coming weeks and months, probably in the company of other patches, or even the long-awaited next-gen update, a priori sometime in late 2021.

Patch Injection

The first change presented during the livestream regarding patch 1.3 concerns crafting. It will now be possible to choose the crafted quantity of a given item, instead of crafting one at a time. A most significant change for DIY mercenaries, who will save a lot of time for their main hobby.

If you find that V's apartment lacks a bit of life, you can add a feline presence to it. To do this, you will have to find a stray cat in the megabuilding where the character resides and feed it in order to adopt it. In the apartment, patch 1.3 will finally make it possible to display V's different expressions properly once in front of the mirror. Likewise, the journal has seen a nice improvement, allowing, for each quest and new entry, to display relevant information on the characters or other elements of the game's lore.

Already presented yesterday, the ability to reset your skill points can soon be done directly in the dedicated menu, at the bottom left of the screen, against a relatively small amount of eddies. Unfortunately, the same thing will not be possible for attribute points, an element that could cause problems, especially in dialogues. Still on the skills side, patch 1.3 should correct those that weren't working correctly with regard to their description. Also presented yesterday, the mini-map will be much less zoomed in on our character during our vehicle rides, making the GPS more useful overall.

Like the previous patches, a large part of the contributions of version 1.3 will focus on fixing bugs and improving stability, which is currently in a satisfactory state for the Polish studio. The patch notes for version 1.3 can be viewed in full detail, in Spanish, through the official Cyberpunk 2077 website.

The developers participating in the livestream also took the opportunity to come back to the difficulty of patching a game already released on multiple platforms, and the influence of the slightest patch on a system as complex as that of Cyberpunk 2077. may not convince everyone, but it is good to remember that the work of developers is not always a long calm river.

Free DLCs are finally making a name for themselves again

CD Projekt RED also announced to us some of the free DLCs coming with patch 1.3 on Cyberpunk 2077. These can therefore be downloaded individually and activated at will in a new sub-menu entitled “Additional content”.

The first “small” free DLC presented during the livestream focuses on cosmetic elements. Our favorite Charcudoc Viktor will, at some point in the story, leave us with a few things from his younger days as a street kid. These will be in V's apartment, specifically in his armory. We can pick up a flamboyant red jacket and a down jacket with a futuristic design. More cosmetic items like this should gradually make their way into the game.

The second DLC presented is in Ghost Town, in the Badlands. Without spoiling the story too much, it will be possible to activate this DLC after helping Panam. Rogue, the queen of the Afterlife bar, who allowed us to meet her, will reward us for a job well done with a sports car whose aesthetics are clearly inspired by those used by the Nomads.

To finish on the DLCs, note that CD Projekt RED will offer us, like the major protagonists of The Witcher 3, a new appearance for the legendary rockerboy in our head, Johnny Silverhand. This one will take on a look here that brings it closer to punk than rocker, which should appeal to many players.
