On the occasion of its call for investors for the quarter of this fiscal year, CD Projekt RED returned to the contents to come for cyberpunk 2077.

The Polish studio had indeed recently announced that all content and updates on its latest Action-RPG were postponed to 2022. We now have more details on this subject.

It is indeed indicated in the financial report that the studio “is working hard on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Cyberpunk 2077”. Highly anticipated, these should arrive during the first quarter of 2022, at the same time as a new major patch bringing significant substantive changes to all platforms.

The financial report also clarified that work on a full-fledged extension is still ongoing, though it did not specify at what stage or when it will be rolled out. It also remains to settle the question of the last free DLCs, a first wave of these having accompanied patch 1.3.

It will therefore be necessary to show a little more patience to have new reasons to return to Night City, as well as, for console players, to potentially finally be able to really enjoy the latest title from CD Projekt RED. In the meantime, the PC version has gained a massive resurgence in popularity, especially on Steam due to the Fall Sale on Valve's platform.
