The first FIFA 22 trailer is online: hypermotion technology and release on October 1

Things promised, things due, Electronic Arts has just revealed the first trailer for its announced late summer hit, the inevitable FIFA 22.

Upstream of its PlayLive that it will organize on July 22, Electronic Arts has therefore decided to lift the veil on what remains – still and always – its back-to-school locomotive. FIFA 22 had already had the honors of the news with the reveal of its cover, but today, it is a question of seeing the game “in motion”.

Hypermotion technology

As announced, this trailer of just over a minute and a half is focused on THE new technique implemented by the developers of FIFA 22. Baptized
hypermotion technology and highlighted on various images, it should logically make it possible to further refine the movements, attitudes and postures of the players on the field.

Through its video, Electronic Arts seems to mean having worked with players from several major European clubs (Real Madrid, Liverpool FC, Paris Saint-Germain) to model their movements. We should learn more during the event on July 22 (at 19 p.m.) that Electronic Arts has already planned to detail this hypermotion technology.

Be aware that hypermotion technology combines motion capture and a proprietary machine learning technique to significantly enrich the gaming experience. Unfortunately, Electronic Arts points out that this will be reserved for next gen versions (PS5 and Xbox Series X |S) of his game as well as the Stadia version… but not the PC for example.

October 1st on… all platforms!

In parallel with the release of this first trailer, Electronic Arts has published a press release clarifying a highly anticipated point: the launch of this FIFA 22 is set for October 1st on PC (Origin / Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia and a Legacy Edition version is planned for Nintendo Switch.

FIFA 22 will logically integrate all the most popular modes of the franchise from Career to Volta via Pro Clubs and, of course, the unstoppable FUT. Electronic Arts stresses that the management of goalkeepers has been completely revised and that more than 17 players and 000 teams will be in the game. To continue on the numbers, FIFA 700 will also group more than 22 leagues and more than 30 stadiums around the world.
