Following their separation, FIFA wants to compete with EA with new football games

No, FIFA won't go away! If EA will go it alone from 2023, the International Football Federation does not intend to bury its favorite license. The competition could get tough...

If there will be a FIFA 23 developed by Electronic Arts in 2022, the American publisher will rename its football games next year under the name EA SPORTS FC. This facelift will not have a major impact on the content, since all the teams, the major national leagues, the players, the stadiums and the usual modes will still be on the program. However, FIFA does not intend to twiddle its thumbs.

There will (really) be sport

The federation took the floor to announce that its separation from EA will allow it to launch other football games with new partners. FIFA wants to “offer more choices for players who are football fans”. It must be said that major competitions such as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but also the 2023 Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand are approaching.

Finally, the federation mentions the fact that discussions have just started with several major video game publishers in order to create a new football simulation stamped "FIFA" planned for 2024. Thus, there would be a FIFA 24, but developed by a another studio. The small world of virtual football could soon become very competitive.
