Real star of the time of the Amiga and the CD32, Zool signs a somewhat surprising return under the leadership of Sumo Digital Academy.
In the early 90s, Nintendo had its mustachioed plumber, SEGA had just found an emblematic character with Sonic the Hedgehog, but nothing like it on computers and the Amiga, in particular. Gremlin Graphics then had the idea of ​​releasing a platform game featuring a funny ninja creature.

If the character has never acquired the stature of the mascots of the console world, he has nevertheless achieved a certain success, taking up several characteristics of the Sonic games on Megadrive with, in particular, a very fast animation. However, Zool had a faculty of his own: that of clinging to the walls and climbing with a certain ease.
Today, we learn that the Sumo Digital Academy studio has not only decided to make a remake of the platform game, but that said remake is very close to release. For the studio, it is a question of paying homage to the Amiga title by proposing a revised, but faithful version. Some members of the original team would also have participated in the project.
Called Zool Redimensioned, this remake should offer 28 levels, seven boss fights and 25 successes to unlock. New secrets and challenges are planned by the developers who have also revised certain mechanics in order to offer a level selection screen, checkpoints and various accessibility options.
Surprisingly enough, the developers decided to include the original version of the game on Megadrive and not on Amiga in their project. Finally, according to the Steam product page, the release is scheduled for this month, but we do not have a specific date yet.
