Zelda Skyward Sword HD demonstrates its improvements on Switch in video

Summer is loaded on Nintendo Switch. After Mario Golf et monster hunter stories 2, it will be the turn of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD to land on the hybrid console. And a new video shows us the improvements of this remastering.

While waiting for the sequel to Breath of the Wild, and to celebrate the saga's 35th anniversary, Nintendo has chosen to dust off an old episode. This is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword which was released for Wii in November 2011. The good news is that the Switch version won't just be a simple port.

A more ergonomic Zelda

In the trailer published this week, we have plenty of time to discover these optimizations. In addition to the HD resolution, the framerate has been increased to climb up to 60 fps. The spirit of the divine sword Fay can now be summoned at any time. It will inform the player about the destination to reach and provide advice on how to move forward. The controls will also be improved with the possibility of going through the movements by detaching the Joy-Con or by the classic buttons.

Finally, the scrolling of dialogues can be accelerated, past cutscenes and information windows will no longer be repeated. Backups will also be done automatically in addition to manual backups.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will be released on July 16, 2021 for Nintendo Switch.
