While Sony has just lifted the veil on its new PlayStation Plus, Microsoft should also make a small change to the Xbox Game Pass. Indeed, an additional offer is about to be announced by the manufacturer.

For the moment, the famous Game Pass has three distinct formulas. We have the console version at 9,99 euros per month, the PC version at the same price and finally the Ultimate subscription at 12,99 euros per month. The latter compiles the two previous offers by adding the possibility of playing online multiplayer and launching certain games via the Cloud. But, according to the Windows Central site, Microsoft is preparing a fourth package.

For the whole family

Thus, according to anonymous sources contacted by the site, the Xbox Game Pass will soon have a family offer that can be used by five users at the same time and which will necessarily be cheaper than taking out five different “classic” subscriptions. The operation would be similar to that of the family subscription of Nintendo Switch Online.

At this time, we don't know if this offer will include the benefits of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or if it will exist separately on both PC and console. Finally, this new subscription would force Microsoft to reconsider how to distribute royalties to publishers who offer their game(s) within the service. To be continued…
