Update of May 16, 2022 at 17:45 p.m.: It's the site's turn Video Games Chronicle (VGC) to relay its own information which seems to confirm the details communicated by the insider NateTheHate2. VGC also talks about several projects Silent Hill including a remake (AI, animations and reworked puzzles), a real sequel and a so-called episodic story possibly created by Annapurna Interactive (Outer Wilds, Sayonara Wild Hearts).

Events seem to be accelerating around Silent Hill. Indeed, the Konami saga is close to making a comeback and new rumors have just been heard.

Last week, a big leak hinted at the first visibly concrete elements about a new Silent Hill. The insider Dusk Golem even went so far as to share images possibly taken from the game. These visuals were later removed following a DMCA complaint which seems to emanate from Konami. But today, it's another information that will hold our attention (and probably that of the fans of the saga).

For even better horror!

First, it was insider NateTheHate2 who released details about a project related to Konami's franchise. He states that the Polish studio Bloober Team (Layers of Fear, The Medium) is working on a remake of Silent Hill 2. We learn that the puzzles will be completely redone and that additional endings could be added in the game. Also, this remake would be released on PlayStation as a temporary exclusive for consoles (so it should also come to PC).

Insider Jeff Grubb also confirmed these indiscretions, stating that Konami had planned to make announcements at E3 last year before changing its plans. Finally, several other Silent Hill games are also said to be in production. This would include an unreleased opus for the main saga and sorts of spin-offs. The leaks of May 13 could therefore relate to one of these last projects.
