The Medium: developers invite players to rate the game after completing it

Bloober Team

Available in just a few hours on Xbox Series X|S and PC, The Medium uses a method that is unusual in the world of console games. Indeed, the title directly asks the opinion of the players via a rating system.

On our smartphones, after a certain time spent in a game, it asks us to rate it on the Play Store or iOS. A practice that is sometimes a little painful when the evaluation window is displayed in the middle of the game. However, the titles on our consoles could soon get started. This is what The Medium will attempt when it is released this week (and more precisely on January 28, 2021).

The Medium listens to you

Fortunately, the title of Bloober Team (Layers of Fear, Blair Witch) opts for a much less intrusive method. Indeed, once the end credits have come to an end, The Medium offers us to evaluate it through the Microsoft Store rating system. Of course, this is an optional proposal that can be postponed.

Once on the American manufacturer's store, the user gives his rating (on a five-star system) and a more in-depth opinion if he wishes. This is the first time a game of this magnitude has openly encouraged its players to review it. In a message, the development team simply explains that they want to listen to their impressions of The Medium.
