The Elder Scrolls VI: production is just beginning

Three years after its announcement, The Elder Scrolls VI remains an enigma. It must be said that the game was formalized very early, when the production phase had not even started…

While Skyrim will celebrate its tenth anniversary next November, its sequel has not been mentioned at all by Bethesda Game Studios since the release of the first teaser in June 2018. Indeed, it is Starfield that requires all the attention of the development teams right now. Thus, the realization of The Elder Scrolls VI is not progressing very quickly, and the latest information proves it once again.

Bethesda gives us an appointment in ten years?

During an interview with The Telegraph, Todd Howard, executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios, spoke about the evolution of The Elder Scrolls VI. Like Starfield, the game will use the Creation Engine 2, since the latter was specially designed for these two titles. Regarding its development, TES VI (for short) is currently “in the design phase”. To put it simply, the development as such has not started.

It's not really a surprise, since Starfield mobilizes all the efforts of Bethesda Game Studios. The game promises a huge open world with the ability to explore different alien worlds. See you on November 11, 2022 on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
